New Record, new toys, new begining

Mk3 Stock Twin 1j Quarter Mile Record - 12.6@112.8
Lined up at the light. Car was running well for once even with the afr's in the 9's, it was running well. So i decided to go after the 1j stock twin all turbo record. And i should have had it. Instead i only walked away with the Mk3 supra 1j record. I slapped on a set of drag slicks and went out hoping to cut a 1.6x 60' and get me into the 11's. Not an unachievable goal. The car has ran 12.7 with a 1.9 60' when it was running bad, and if i could lower that three tenths throughthe 60' it should equate outto an 11.8-11.9 on the top end. Well everything was going good, except my clutch did not like the added traction. First launch clutch slipped through 1st, 2nd and halfway through third, ran 12.9@110. Second time same result. Third and final pass i decided to try and save the clutch for one good pass. No burnout, didnt launch, just got out to halfway tothe 60' and punched it, well she dead hooked, second it partially held, third and 4th it seemed to hold (besides the strong clutch smell) and ran my 12.6@112.8 Kind of embarassing but i got one of the records...

Easter Car show 07
I entered my car in the St Louis Easter Car show with my dads 1965 Plymouth Satellite. You can see his car behind mine. He ended up winning Top three honors in teh 1959 - 1969 Muscle car class. Not bad for his first car show.
